Lock up your daughters!

The second installment in our series of campy movie posters. Enjoy!

On the Loose (1951)

It would seem that a great deal of psychic energy was spent during the middle part of the last century in worrying about how easy it was for teenage girls to injure their reputations. It would seem that teenage girls of that era were all in a great hurry to dance with boys, neck with boys, drink with boys, smoke marijuana with boys and otherwise ruin themselves and their noble, clean-living American parents.

The Careless Years (1957)

Too Soon to Love (1960)

The Subterraneans (1960)

There is nothing so clever and subversive as a teenage girl intent on hanging around with such undesirable hoodlum elements as George Peppard, Jim Hutton and Roddy McDowall. You have to watch them every minute!

Why Girls Leave Home (1945)

Runaway Daughters (1956)

Thwarted by your watchful eye, the deceitful young strumpet will next attempt to escape your benevolent supervision by running away from home.

Assassin of Youth (1935)

Having made her escape, the wayward lass will inevitably take up smoking marijuana, which will release all her inhibitions, cause her to forget all the lessons she learned in Sunday School and lead her to a life of sin and depravity.

Reefer Madness (1938)

Wild Weed (1949)

Devil's Harvest (1940)

Youth Aflame (1945)

Gambling With Souls (1936)

Having descended to the depths of moral turpitude, your little darling is matriculated into the school of deceit and corruption, where she becomes easy prey for those who would use her tender young flesh in various and sundry low schemes to lure men to their doom.

The Wayward Girl
(1957)

Hitchhike to Hell (1937)

Young and Wild (1958)

Teenage (1944)

There are no words to describe the hell of despair felt by these poor lost souls. Sure, they look like they are having fun dancing, drinking and cavorting, but don't let their apparent gaiety deceive you! Inside, they feel only shame and revulsion.

The Flaming Teen-Age (1956)

Under Age (1941)

Teenage Zombies (1958)

Then, like as not, the precious fruit of your loins will be captured by zombies and made to... hold on... wait a minute... How did these zombies get in here? This ain't about zombies. Lose the zombies!

Unwed Mother (1958)

Teenage Mother (1966)

Finally, we come to the end result of all this loose behavior. An object lesson to us all, so looky here moms and dads. Lock 'em up and keep 'em locked up!

  1. I've seen Reefer Madness, and as a result, I've never tried it. If smoking it makes you make movies like that, I want no part of it.

(with apologies for the Basil Rathbone reference)

Thanks for the comment and glad you are enjoying the blog. Really, though, no need to invest any time in the Zombie thing. :)
