Isabel Jewell was a diminutive (4' 11") actress of the 30s and 40s who never achieved stardom, but was a popular and reliable supporting player, mostly in "gangster's moll" type roles.
with Jack Oakie and Rosemary DeCamp in Merry Monahans (1944)
with Bette Davis, Lola Lane, and Mayo Methot in Marked Woman (1937)
with Ann Dvorak and her husband Leslie Fenton at the Brown Derby
How marvelous-- I first saw Isabel Jewell in Marked Woman and thought she was great. Thanks for sharing the pictures. :)
