Bonnie & Clyde +66 years

On the 66th anniversary of the death of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, let's take a look at some of the films celebrating their names, if not particularly accurate renditions of their lives.

First up, Dorothy Provine starred in The Bonnie Parker Story (1958) which had virtually no relationship to her actual story. This film did not even include Clyde Barrow at all.

Almost a decade later, it was Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty in Bonnie and Clyde (1967). Although it had some accuracy issues as well, this celebrated film captured the imagination of the American public.

Finally, Billy Morrissette, Tracey Needham and Dana Ashbrook blessed us with the forgettable Bonnie & Clyde: The True Story (1992), which it absolutely wasn't.

Below, the true articles.

  1. I just love your site.

Yer math, however, is a little . . . suspect.

    1934 was 76 years before.

  2. 1934(death year) + 66 = 2000. While this article was published in 2010. And its claiming to 66th anniversary. Wow, this is some really awkward use of math.
